Ingredients for making Korean style leek Pancake for 2 people:
Main material:
- 150g leeks
- 1 ½ cup Tai Ky flour or Tai Ky glutinous rice flour
- 1 ½ cup of water
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 1 red pepper (can be added to increase the red color of the dish)
- 1 green pepper (can add more)
¼ cup vegetable oil
Ingredients for making sauce:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
- ½ red pepper
- ½ green pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
How to make Korean leek Pancake:
Step 1: Wash the leeks and cut them into 4cm-long pieces.
Wash the peppers and cut long, small strands into thin strips.
Step 2: Make the Pancake cake mixture:
In a large bowl, you mix 1 ½ cup flour or glutinous rice flour with 1 ½ cup cold water, teaspoon salt. Use ice cold water for a nice elastic texture.
Step 3: Add garlic, chili and mix well.
Step 4: You heat the pan with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, heat on high heat for 1 minute. Then, pour about 1/3 cup of the flour just mixed into the pan. Evenly spread the dough, then fry it until it turns golden brown.
Turn the cake with a spoon until the dough is completely cooked.
Step 5: Make sauce
In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce with 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of cold boiled water, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and sliced chili.
Finally cut or leave the cake and place the cake on a plate, served with dipping sauce.

- You can customize the cake size as you like. In the traditional way of baking, people often make large cakes and cut them into squares.
