DIRECTIONS:

Step 1:

  • Combine the cake mix with the dry yeast packet.
  • Add 350 grams of coconut milk and knead for 5 minutes.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour.

Step 2:

Prepare the Sugar Syrup:

  • Mix 220 grams of granulated sugar with 340 ml of warm water until dissolved.
  • Pour the sugar syrup into the dough mixture and stir well.
  • Cover it and let it sit for an additional 20-30 minutes until you see consistent air bubbles forming on the surface of the dough.

Step 3:

Steam the Cake:

  • Preheat your greased cake mold.
  • Give the dough one final stir and then pour it into the mold.
  • Steam the cake over high heat for approximately 10 minutes or until it is fully cooked.

NOTE:

After steaming, keep the cake covered to maintain its softness for an extended period.
