How to Make Nậm Cake of Hue

Nậm Cake is considered a delicious traditional dish of the people of Hue. Each place has its own way of processing and makes its delicious value. Here is how to make a rice cake that is both simple and delicious. Let's make this dish to treat the whole family in the morning.

Ingredients for making rice cakes for 4-5 people:

- 50 grams of Tai Ky functional powder.

- 100 grams of land shrimp

- 100 grams of lean meat

450-600 ml of water.

- Cooking oil, common spices, fish sauce.

How to make rice cakes for 4-5 people:

Process materials:

- Shrimps peeled, washed and minced.

- Lean meat washed, minced

- Marinate shrimp and meat with regular spices and leave for about 10 minutes to absorb the spices evenly.

- Banana leaves washed. Then cut to length 20 cm. width 15 cm.

Steps to be followed:

- After the marinade is finished, you should put in a hot pan of garlic and onion, then add shrimp and meat to the island quickly so that the shrimp and meat are small, not clumped.

- You add rice flour and flour and mix well with water, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt.

- Next, put the mixture on the stove, stir quickly over a small heat, stir until the dough thickens, then turn off the heat, continue stirring until the dough is thick.

Add fish sauce and sugar to the stove and cook to melt the sugar (if you want to reduce the amount of sugar), let it cool when you add lemon and chili pickles.

- Apply oil on banana leaves (ribbed face)

- Spread 1 layer of flour, then put the prawns in the middle of the dough, fold the leaves, wrap, break the ends, wrap the cake and make it straight.

Notes when making rice cakes:

- To look more attractive, while quickly stirring the meat and shrimp on the stove, you add a little cashew powder for a beautiful red color. When you see the ripe, dry, then turn off the heat

- To make the cake beautiful and the distribution of meat and flour is reasonable, you pack the cake at the rate of 1 tablespoon of flour, spread out 3/4 teaspoon of filling. Then use your hand to smooth the cake beautifully thin.

- You can wrap the cake with banana leaves or arrowroot leaves.
