Homemade Delicious North Vietnamese Hot Gio Cake

Hot Cake Gio is a favorite dish when coming to Hanoi. You can make homemade cakes to ensure food hygiene and safety.

Material:

- 200 g Tai Ky rice flour

- 100 g Tai Ky functional powder

- 600 ml of boiled bone broth

- 200 g of ground lean meat

- 3 wooden ears

Half an onion

- 4 dried onions

- Banana leave

Delicious hot Cake Gio with chili sauce to stimulate the taste buds.

Processing:

- Dissolve non-glutinous rice flour and flour with bone broth, season with salt and let the flour rest for 2 hours.

- Onions, dried onions, clean wood ear, chopped and stir-fried with meat, seasoning to taste.

- After 2 hours, put the flour mixture in the pot, stir well over the stove to prevent the dough from clumping, until the dough is half-cooked.

- Banana leaves are washed, dried and blanched if the leaves are still fresh.

- Fold banana leaves in the shape of a funnel, add a layer of flour and then the filling layer, add the dough to the top, then fold it, using a strong rope outside.

Put the cake in the steamed rice bowl for about 20 minutes to make the cake cooked

- Bring the cake to steam, when the water is boiling for about 20 minutes, it will cook. Enjoy the cake while still hot.
