How to cook hotteok for 3-4 people
Step 1: Preliminary processing of hotteok cakes
- Black sesame you roast.
- Nuts: chestnuts, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, you peel and crush them.
- The fresh milk you warm up and let the milk cool down when you feel warm is okay.
Step 2: Steps to make hotteok.
- You brew the dough as follows: you take a large bowl, you give: flour, glutinous rice flour, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, yeast and sesame we just roasted. You guys mix it all up.
- After that, you add warm milk with 1 teaspoon of cooking oil. You stir the dough evenly when the dough is sticky, the ingredients are evenly blended together, you use plastic to cover the bowl, cover the bowl, and incubate the dough for 30 minutes.

- You take a little flour, press flat to enlarge the dough, you scoop a little of the filling in the middle and then squeeze it.
- You take turns to do so until the dough is gone.
- After molding the cake, you put a pan on the stove, add oil to heat.
- You drop the cake into the pan, use a large spoon to press slowly to flatten the cake, pay attention not to forcefully so that the cake does not break.
- You fry the cake until both sides are golden, then take out the cake to drain the oil, soak the cake again in the paper so that the cake is out of oil.

Note when making hotteok
- If you cannot buy Tai Ky sticky rice powder, you can make your own by soaking sticky rice for 2-3 hours and then crushing it.
- The nuts we use here are not fixed that you can replace as you like, like adding cashew nuts.
- You can use butter to fry the cake so the cake is much more delicious.
